Margaret Crotty is a seasoned leader of public health organizations and the Chair of Northwell Health, New York's largest health system, as well as Co-chair of the Zucker School of Medicine. Until late 2024, she served as president and CEO of JSI, a global non-governmental organization that partners with governments on large-scale public health, supply chain, and health information system projects in over 40 countries. In the United States, JSI consults on pressing health and public health issues to improve quality, access, and equity within health systems. Margaret also chaired the Board of the Partnership for Supply Chain Management, which contracts with governments and humanitarian organizations on global procurement and logistics for health commodities, pharmaceuticals, and medical equipment.
Previously, Margaret served as the CEO of Partnership with Children, a major provider of community health services and school-based mental health programs in New York. Earlier in her career, she launched and led Save the Children’s flagship $2 billion campaign to improve global child survival rates; served as CEO of AFS-USA Intercultural Programs; and held roles at EF Education and McKinsey & Company in Jakarta, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Paris. Margaret serves as a trustee of several health and education organizations, including the United Hospital Fund, Open Medical Institute, ACCESS Health International, CUNY School of Public Health, and SeaChange Capital Partners. Over the past year, she was awarded the Community Healthcare Network's Leadership in Public Service Award and the United Hospital Fund's Health Care Leadership Award. Margaret holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, an MPH from Columbia University, and a BA from Princeton University.
