Mark Coughlin is a Principal at Capital Healthcare Planning. He has more than 30 years of experience assisting healthcare clients, including hospitals and health systems, academic medical centers, physician groups, international healthcare operators and payers on a wide variety of strategic, financial, capital and operational issues. Mr. Coughlin is an expert in developing creative, yet practical solutions that balance strategic, operational, financial and facility issues. He draws on his extensive consulting and provider experience to focus solutions that will result in sustainable change.
Prior to joining Capital Healthcare Planning, Mark was a Senior Vice President with Hammes Company, a leading healthcare professional services company. In this role, he led the company’s consulting practice nationally. Prior to that, Mark was the Executive Vice President and COO of Anatole Health Network, an international hospital development firm where he directed the start-up and financial assessment activities. Mark also led the financial consulting practice of an international healthcare consulting company. His provider experience includes corporate roles with a for-profit hospital company and operational leadership for a physician practice management company.
Mark is a Fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives and is a frequent speaker at national and regional conferences on a variety of strategic issues.
