Dr. Scott A. Phillips specializes in healthcare management, leadership, and population health. Retired U.S. Navy, he has earned accolades such as the Navy-Marine Corps and Army Commendation medals. Dr. Phillips holds a DBA from Florida International University, where he received the Harold W. Colmery Award and was inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma. He also holds a Juris Master’s degree and an MS in Healthcare Management. Dr. Phillips’s professional experience includes roles as Director of Operations and Military Health & Resilience Market Development Manager, addressing healthcare disparities and building resilient systems. At the University of New Orleans, he teaches courses on U.S. Healthcare Systems, Healthcare Leadership, Community Health Research, and is the HCM program internship director. His research explores inclusive leadership, cultural competence, and the integration of complementary and alternative medicine in mental health. An active author and board member, Dr. Phillips continues to inspire innovation in healthcare management and education.
