Svetlana Lipyanskaya, MPA, FACHE is the first woman to lead the executive team at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health, guiding the hospital through COVID-19 testing, vaccination programs, and post-pandemic recovery. At the same time, she drove the effort to complete and open a new inpatient hospital facility ensuring that patients have access to the care they need regardless of future environmental challenges. Svetlana has collaborated with officials to secure funding for vital infrastructure projects in an ongoing effort to improve access to critical lifesaving services within her community. She is focusing her strategic plan on the development of a comprehensive medical and behavioral ambulatory services program for South Brooklyn Health truly embodying the Health + Hospitals mission to empower all New Yorkers to lead their healthiest lives. Svetlana was recognized in City and State’s Brooklyn Power 100, was named by Becker’s Hospital Review as a Community Hospital CEO to know and has been highlighted by PoliticsNY as Power Player in Healthcare. In 2023, she was recognized on the NY State Assembly floor for her efforts in the healthcare sector. Most recently, Svetlana has been named a Notable Leader in Healthcare by Crain's.
