North Shore University Hospital, Northwell Health
Jon Sendach serves as president at North Shore University Hospital where he is responsible for overall executive management of the 800-bed NY metro area quaternary facility. His responsibilities include executive management, strategy, financial stewardship, and leadership of a facility that serves as one of the cornerstones of Northwell Health, as well as an academic campus for the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. For over a decade prior to being named hospital president, he served as deputy executive director as well as associate executive director for hospital operations.
A fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), Jon holds a Bachelor of Arts from Colgate University and a Master of Public Administration from New York University, where he holds an appointment as adjunct associate professor of health policy and management. A faculty member of the ACHE, Jon leads several executive professional development programs on the national level including as co-faculty of the acclaimed COO Bootcamp, a program geared toward hospital and health system chief operating officers. Jon holds an FAA commercial airman certificate as an airplane pilot and in his spare time enjoys flying to visit friends and family up and down the east coast.
