Pamela Scagliarini MBA, FACHE, is a strategic senior healthcare executive with a track record of delivering results to drive operational excellence. Her strategic vision and hands-on leadership style has enabled her to spearhead successful transformation efforts in a collaborative and transparent manner. In July 2024, Pam was named the Senior Vice President of Administration for the Adams Neurosciences Tower for Yale New Haven Health System. Pam serves as the principal operational executive for the opening of the Adams Neurosciences Tower. She leads the development and deployment of the oversight structure that guides this strategic priority, the transition and activation plan and the business and clinical program plan. Pam facilitates key communications for this strategic priority within the enterprise and with other key stakeholders.
Most recently, Pam served as the Chief Operating Officer at Bridgeport Hospital and Senior Vice President Yale New Haven Health System responsible for the build and execution of the annual operating and capital plans for Bridgeport Hospital. Additionally, she oversaw patient experience, emergency preparedness and served as the Incident Commander. Pam had full P&L responsibility, operational improvement, and financial mitigation leadership responsibility including developing and executing accountability structures to the front-line manager. She oversaw the development of a long-term master plan inclusive of bed planning, facility planning, and property acquisition strategies for both inpatient campuses.
Prior to serving as the COO, Pam was responsible for the Supply Chain Management division of Yale New Haven Health System managing system wide expenditures and developing the clinical value analysis process utilized to engage clinicians from across the network. She also co-created the Northeast Purchasing Coalition LLC with VHA, Inc. that continues to serve hospitals across the New England region.
She received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree with a dual major in Production/Operations Management and Procurement/Materials Management and her Master of Business Administration, Health Care Administration degree from the University of New Haven. Most recently, Pam continued her learning journey by completing a Harvard Business School Executive Education Program on Strategy for Health Care Delivery.
Pam currently serves on the Girl Scouts of Connecticut Board as the Board Chair holding previous roles as Vice Chair and Board Development Committee Chair. She has also served on multiple other boards to include the Greater New England Supplier Diversity Council and the Strategic Marketplace Initiative. Pam co-leads the Lean In Advisory Council within her organization with a focus on advancing gender equity and is a proud Carol Emmott Fellow. Pam has been a national and regional speaker on many leadership and health care topics and regularly mentors both physicians and rising health care leaders.
