Dr. Mark G. Moseley joined USF Health in January 2017 as USF Health's Chief Medical Officer. He was subsequently named as USF Health's Chief Clinical Officer, and in this role helped to oversee the day-to-day operations of the USF Health faculty practice plan until May 2022. Since April 2022, he has served as the first President of USF Tampa General Physicians, a role he was selected for via competitive national search. As President, he leads the integration of the Tampa General Hospital and USF physician practice infrastructure; leading ~1,700 team members and supporting the practices of over 1,000 clinicians. Dr. Moseley is a system Executive Vice President at TGH, a Professor at the Morsani College of Medicine, Chair of the Department of Internal Medicine, and a courtesy Professor in the College of Public Health.
Dr. Moseley is an Ohio native and alumni of the Ohio State University Colleges of Medicine Public Health. He was the first dual-degree graduate of OSU's combined five-year MD, Master of Health Administration program. He completed a residency in Emergency Medicine at Christiana Care in Wilmington Delaware, serving as chief resident in his final year of training. He subsequently returned to Ohio State as an academic faculty member in Emergency Medicine and for the next 12 years held progressive leadership roles as Medical Director of the Emergency Department and Vice-Chairman in the Department of Emergency Medicine. His final senior leadership role at OSU was as the health system’s Assistant Chief Operating Officer.
Dr. Moseley is the recipient of numerous teaching awards for trainees in medicine and public health at both the Ohio State University and the University of South Florida. He was voted by Columbus, Ohio Business First as a city-wide 40 under 40 awardee in 2010. In 2013, he was awarded the OSU College of Medicine Innovation Award for conceiving, designing, and implementing the After-Hours Clinics model of care. He is also the recipient of the OSU Department of Emergency Medicine's Distinguished Service Award.
