William Jahmal Miller is system vice president with CommonSpirit Health’s Office of Diversity, Inclusion, Equity and Belonging. He is responsible for health equity and inclusion initiatives. Previously, Mr. Miller served as director of corporate reputation and thought leadership with Blue Shield of California. He is recognized as a national thought leader and an expert on issues pertaining to healthcare, public health, health equity, mental health and public policy. His previous roles include deputy director of the California Department of Public Health’s Office of Health Equity and multiple leadership roles with Kaiser Permanente and Sutter Health. Among his volunteer roles, he serves on the boards of directors for The Crocker Art Museum Association, Valley Vision and the California Asian Chamber of Commerce. He was recently appointed to the American Psychological Association’s Presidential Health Equity Task Force.
