As a healthcare professional with 40 years of experience, Ted Donnelly has worked in multiple channels of the industry, having served in staff nurse and director roles in perioperative and cardiac care settings, and operational and clinical consulting roles with McFaul & Lyons Inc., Johnson & Johnson Healthcare Systems and Premier Inc. In his current role as corporate director, clinical quality improvement, at Universal Health Services, Mr. Donnelly integrates Lean principles and change leadership in 28 acute care hospitals, facilitating the growth of the quality department presence in each of the facilities to a fully integrated service line. Leading with evidence-based clinical practices and established data, the quality teams drive enhanced processes to positively impact patient care and achieve improved outcomes. Additionally, Mr. Donnelly has direct oversight of the development and implementation of clinical education, incorporating internal and external resources to achieve the timely and effective deployment of learning plans. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Hahnemann University, now Drexel University, and a master’s degree in healthcare administration from Villanova University.
