Sushant Govindan is a board-certified intensivist on staff at the Kansas City VA Medical Center and assistant professor at the University of Kansas. He is also the associate chief of staff, quality, at the Kansas City VA and a member of the COVID-19 Incidence Command Team. He has a master of science degree in health and healthcare research from the Rackham School of Graduate Studies at the University of Michigan. He has an established background in leading team-based quality improvement initiatives, including multiple publications regarding QI at local, regional and national levels. He has experience with leverage VA data toward informatics solutions in the VA, as well as specific expertise in survey methodology and performance measurement. He has served within multiple QI organizations that work to improve healthcare on a national scale.
