Shana L. Dacon

Shana L. Dacon is a detail-oriented professional with 10 years of progressive experience in the healthcare industry. She currently serves as senior director, administration, corporate health system affairs, in the Mount Sinai Health System’s Office for Diversity and Inclusion, where she provides administrative guidance to system leadership to establish diversity, equity and inclusion strategic priorities. She also oversees the system’s Administrative Fellowship Program, among other talent pipeline initiatives for individuals of underrepresented groups; develops and facilitates DEI educational content for clinical and administrative staff; drives staff engagement and participation in systemwide diversity councils and employee resource groups; and consults and advises on organizational interventions aimed at establishing an anti-racist culture. Ms. Dacon received a Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York at Binghamton. She received a Master of Public Health degree from Columbia University and a Master of Business Administration degree from New York University.
