Rulon Stacey is director of graduate programs in health administration at the University of Colorado, Denver. His previous roles include serving as president/CEO of Fairview Health Services from 2013 to 2015; president of University of Colorado Health from 2012 to 2013; and president/CEO of Poudre Valley Health System from 1996 to 2012. Dr. Stacey is a Past Chairman of ACHE’s Board of Governors and has twice been named by Modern Healthcare as one of the “100 Most Influential People in Healthcare.” He brings a future-focused understanding of provider issues, leadership and governance challenges, and strategy alternatives.
Dr. Stacey recently completed a third term as chair of the Board of Overseers of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award and is currently on the Baldrige Foundation Board. He is also chair of the International Hospital Federation’s CEO Circle and was granted honorary membership in IHF in 2017. Dr. Stacey holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and a master’s degree in health administration from Brigham Young University. He holds a doctorate in health policy from the University of Colorado, Denver. Dr. Stacey is board certified in healthcare management as an ACHE Fellow.
