Ninfa M. Saunders, DHA, FACHE
Ninfa M. Saunders is president/CEO of Navicent Health. She has more than 45 years of hospital administrative and clinical experience. Dr. Saunders completed her doctorate in healthcare administration at the Medical University of South Carolina. She earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Emory University in Atlanta and a Master of Science degree in nursing from Rutgers University in Newark, N.J. A co-founder of the regional Stratus Healthcare network, Dr. Saunders currently serves on the board of the Georgia Hospital Association and as chair of the Georgia Alliance of Community Hospitals. She recently received national acclaim for her efforts to successfully form a strategic combination with Charlotte, N.C.-based Atrium Health. Under Dr. Saunders’ leadership, Navicent Health also garnered national attention for efforts to improve health equity and minimize disparities; the health system was honored with the American Hospital Association’s prestigious 2018 Equity of Care Award. Recognized as a national thought leader, particularly in the areas of innovation and disruptive change, Dr. Saunders is a frequent speaker on various matters related to healthcare.
