Mary Beth Kingston, PhD, RN

Mary Beth Kingston is CNO for Advocate Aurora Health, where she serves as a member of the executive leadership team and is responsible for nursing practice and standards and patient experience. Dr. Kingston co-led the National Steering Committee for Patient Safety’s Workforce Safety Subcommittee. She serves on the boards of the Milwaukee Urban League in Milwaukee and the American Hospital Association, and is a former board member and president of the American Organization of Nurse Leaders. Dr. Kingston is a Robert Wood Johnson Executive Nurse Fellow (2009-2012), and in 2020 she was inducted as a fellow into the American Academy of Nursing. She earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing at West Chester University, a master’s degree in nursing at the University of Pennsylvania and a doctorate in health policy at the University of Sciences in Philadelphia.
