Mark C. Lester is chair of the board of directors at the American Association for Physician Leadership. Previously, he served with Texas Health Resources for many years in several roles, most recently as executive vice president and Southeast Zone clinical leader. Before that, Dr. Lester served in Ascension Health as CMO for St. Mary’s of Michigan Health. He was previously chief of neurological surgery and vice chair of operations in the Department of Surgery at Lehigh Valley Hospital. Dr. Lester has held clinical faculty appointments at Michigan State University College of Medicine, The College of Medicine at Pennsylvania State University, Drexel University and others. He served on the Executive Council of the Pennsylvania Neurosurgical Society. Dr. Lester is a graduate of Cornell University and the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He received his Master of Business Administration degree from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
