Kenneth White, RN, PhD, FACHE

Kenneth White is professor emeritus at the UVA School of Nursing. He also holds the UVA Medical Center Endowed Professorship in Nursing along with joint appointments in the McIntire School of Commerce, the Darden School of Business and the UVA School of Medicine. During his 45-year career, he has served as a healthcare executive, consultant, clinician and academic. He led the VCU/MCV master’s in health administration programs for 14 years. He is a former ACHE Regent and member of the Board of Governors. He has authored several books, including the award-winning The Well-Managed Healthcare Organization. He is a regular ACHE faculty member, founding chair of ACHE’s LGBT Forum and a 2019 recipient of ACHE’s Gold Medal Award. Dr. White also maintains a practice as a board-certified palliative care nurse practitioner. He is board certified in healthcare management as an ACHE Fellow.
