Kathryn A. Raethel, FACHE

Kathryn Raethel is president of Adventist Health Castle (AHCS), a position she has held since December 2011. Prior to this appointment, Ms. Raethel had been vice president for patient care services at AHCS for 11 years. During this time, she provided administrative direction and clinical oversight of patient care at AHCS, and she oversaw numerous departments, including the nursing units, the ED, quality resources and risk management. Prior to joining AHCS, Ms. Raethel was the vice president of professional services/COO at Desert Valley Hospital in Victorville, Calif. She holds a master’s degree in public health and a master’s degree in health administration from Loma Linda University in California. Ms. Raethel is board certified in healthcare management as an ACHE Fellow.
