Kadesha Thomas Smith is the founder/CEO of CareContent Inc., which helps healthcare organizations reach revenue and online engagement goals through digital strategy and content production. She has 15 years of experience in healthcare communications, primarily working with hospitals to reach patient, provider and administrative audiences. She is the host of Modern Healthcare’s Next Up Podcast for emerging healthcare leaders and co-organizer of the Chicago Content Strategy meetup. Prior to CareContent, Ms. Smith worked in the marketing department at the University of Chicago Medicine. Before that, she completed a Peace Corps assignment managing a teen clinic in Nicaragua. She has an undergraduate degree in journalism from Florida A&M University and a Master of Public Health degree from Tufts University School of Medicine. Outside of healthcare, Ms. Smith and her husband are active members of their church community and parents of two high-energy little ones.
