Justin D. Moore is a licensed physical therapist and CEO of the American Physical Therapy Association, the national membership organization representing and promoting the profession of physical therapy in the United States. APTA exists to further the physical therapy profession’s role in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of movement dysfunctions and the enhancement of the health and functional abilities of the public. Prior to being named CEO, he was APTA’s executive vice president of public affairs. Before that, he served in several government affairs positions, including work as the association’s lead lobbyist on Capitol Hill. He received a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Simmons College, a Master of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Iowa and a Bachelor of Science degree in dietetics from Iowa State University.
