As vice president of professional development for HIMSS, based in Chicago, JoAnn W. Klinedinst defines strategies that contribute to the lifelong learning, continuing engagement and professional development of 80,000-plus health information and technology professionals globally. A lifelong learner, Ms. Klinedinst holds a master’s degree in adult education from The Pennsylvania State University as well as the industry certifications of Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems; Digital Event Strategist; Certified Professional in Talent Development; and Project Management Professional. She is also a fellow of HIMSS. Ms. Klinedinst volunteers her time and serves on various boards nationally that promote the transformation of healthcare information and technology initiatives. She is board certified in healthcare management as an ACHE Fellow.
