Jennifer “Jen” Volland is vice president of program development at NRC Health in Lincoln, Neb. She has responsibility for driving best practice adoption of clients across the Picker Institute, patient experience, patient outreach, medical group, post-acute and Canada programs. Ms. Volland previously served as vice president of nursing at CTCA in Chicago. She is the past president and a past Regent for ACHE Nebraska and Western Iowa and today serves on its board. She has served on the ACHE Programs Committee and Examination Committee and has received the Senior Healthcare Executive Regent Award. Ms. Volland was a Baldrige examiner, Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute federal grant reviewer and American Nurses Credentialing Center content expert. She has the NEA-BC and CPHQ designations and has certified Six Sigma green, black and master black belts. She received the national APEx Award of Excellence in Health and Medical Writing in 2015. She is board certified in healthcare management as an ACHE Fellow.
