Jane Willemsen is executive vice president/president, hospital operations, John Muir Health, a nationally recognized, not-for-profit healthcare organization east of San Francisco serving patients in Contra Costa, eastern Alameda and southern Solano counties. It includes a network of more than 1,000 primary care and specialty physicians, 6,000 employees and 1,600 volunteers. Ms. Willemsen oversees the operations of John Muir Health’s two acute care medical centers located in Concord and Walnut Creek, including the county’s only designated trauma center and a third facility for behavioral health services, also located in Concord. Under her leadership, the medical centers have achieved numerous quality recognitions. Together, they are recognized as preeminent centers in many specialties, including neurosciences, orthopedics, cancer, cardiovascular, trauma, emergency, behavioral health, pediatrics and high-risk obstetrics care. In addition to these responsibilities, Ms. Willemsen serves as governing board co-chair of the highly successful Children’s Specialty Services Partnership, a joint venture with Stanford Children’s Health.
