Indu Subaiya is president/co-founder of Catalyst @ Health 2.0. She is a visionary healthcare leader whose work builds community, creates dialogue and inspires us to radically rethink how health shapes our lives. In 2007, Dr. Subaiya co-founded and served as CEO of Health 2.0, a global conference platform and community for the showcase and advancement of new healthcare technologies. Health 2.0’s conference business was acquired by the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society in 2017, and in the two years post acquisition, Dr. Subaiya headed the organization as executive vice president. She continues to serve as a senior adviser to HIMSS. In 2013, FierceHealthIT named Dr. Subaiya one of “Health Information Technology’s Most Influential Women.” In 2018, she was selected as a fellow in the Aspen Institute’s Health Innovators Fellowship program. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in science and technology studies from Cornell University and a medical degree from Stony Brook University. She received her MBA degree from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, deciding to forgo medical residency to develop new healthcare dialogues and care models. Prior to founding Health 2.0, Dr. Subaiya served as entrepreneur-in-residence at Physic Ventures, vice president of healthcare and biomedical research at Gerson Lehrman Group and director of outcomes research at Quorum Consulting Inc. She has also served as vice president of the Society for Participatory Medicine and on advisory committees of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and national Health Data Consortium. She is a member of NextGen Venture Partners and an adviser to Parsley Health, Athletik and Patient Insight.
