Gina Calder is vice president, ambulatory services, of Bridgeport Hospital. She joined the organization in 2009 and has service line, operational, strategic planning and business development responsibility for ambulatory areas totaling over 500,000 visits annually. She also successfully opened and leads Park Avenue Medical Center, an ambulatory destination center. Ms. Calder is passionate about ensuring access to high-value care while growing the ambulatory business. She earned a master’s degree in public health from the Yale School of Public Health and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Yale University. She is an inaugural fellow of the Carol Emmott Fellowship. She was recognized in 2015 and 2018 as one of Connecticut NAACP’s 100 Most Influential Blacks, received the 2016 Connecticut Association of Healthcare Executives Leadership Award, and is a founding member of the National Association of Health Services Executives Connecticut Chapter. She is board certified in healthcare management as an ACHE Fellow.
