Accountable Care Learning Collaborative
Eric S. Weaver is executive director of the Accountable Care Learning Collaborative, a nonprofit organization established by former U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Mike Leavitt and former Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Administrator Mark McClellan, MD, to accelerate the value-based care readiness of healthcare organizations. Dr. Weaver previously held the role of corporate vice president for Innovista Health Solutions, a population health management services organization. Dr. Weaver was also president/CEO of Austin, Texas-based Integrated ACO, one of the most successful physician-led ACOs in the Medicare Shared Savings Program before its acquisition by Evolent Health.
Dr. Weaver is a committed healthcare executive with fellow designations from the Medical Group Management Association and the Health Information and Management Systems Society. He received his Master of Healthcare Administration degree from Texas State University and his Doctor of Healthcare Administration degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. In 2016, he received the ACHE Robert S. Hudgens Memorial Award for Young Healthcare Executive of the Year and the Modern Healthcare Up & Comers Award. He was named to Becker’s Hospital Review’s list of “Rising Stars: 25 Healthcare Leaders Under 40” in 2015, and was awarded the Young Alumni Rising Award from Texas State University. In addition to his work as a healthcare executive, Dr. Weaver serves on the boards of various organizations, including the Texas State Development Foundation and the Dell Medical School Society for Health and Business. He is board certified in healthcare management as an ACHE Fellow.
