Catherine Jacobson serves as president/CEO of Froedtert Health, a regional healthcare system based in Milwaukee. She joined Froedtert Health in 2010 as executive vice president of finance and strategy, CFO and chief strategy officer. She was promoted in 2011, becoming president, and in 2012, she assumed the CEO role. Prior to joining Froedtert Health, Ms. Jacobson spent 22 years at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago in various leadership roles. Her current board appointments include Teladoc Health, Vizient, Greater Milwaukee Committee, Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce, and Siebert Lutheran Foundation, as well as other boards representing partnerships of Froedtert Health.
Ms. Jacobson is a past chair of the board of the Wisconsin Hospital Association and currently serves as a board member. She was also appointed chair-elect of the MMAC, beginning her term as chair in fall 2021. Ms. Jacobson’s recognitions include being named by Modern Healthcare as one of the “100 Most Influential People in Healthcare” in 2019 and one of the “Top 25 Women Leaders” in healthcare in 2021. She received the Junior Achievement of Wisconsin, Wisconsin Business Hall of Fame “Distinguished Executive of the Year” recognition in 2018. She was recognized on the “Women of Influence” list by the Milwaukee Business Journal in 2013 and received an honorable mention as “Executive of the Year” in 2014 and 2019.
Ms. Jacobson received an honorary Doctor of Healthcare Leadership degree from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee in 2015. She is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, serving as national chair of the board from 2009 to 2010. She also is a Member of ACHE and the Healthcare Institute. Ms. Jacobson is a member of the Chicago Network, an organization for women executives, and Professional Dimensions in Milwaukee. She is a certified public accountant and received her Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Bradley University in Peoria, Ill.
