
Bruce Brandes

Based in Nashville, Tenn., Bruce Brandes has 30 years of experience in executive management and entrepreneurial thought leadership to build growth stage technology-based businesses in the healthcare industry. He currently serves as senior vice president, Consumer Centered Virtual Care, at Teladoc. Prior to his current role, Mr. Brandes worked to simplify, accelerate and scale health system adoption of digital solutions as executive-in-residence at AVIA, founder/CEO of Lucro and managing director of Martin Ventures. Previously, he supported the industry’s transition to value-based care as executive vice president of growth and innovation at Valence Health (sold to Evolent) and as chief strategy officer with Sequoia Capital-backed AirStrip. He also helped pioneer the introduction and widespread adoption of mobility in healthcare around the introduction of the iPhone.
In the 1990s, Mr. Brandes helped lead the healthcare industry’s migration from paper to electronic medical records at Eclipsys (sold to Allscripts) and began his career in sales and marketing with IBM. A career-long member of ACHE, Mr. Brandes holds degrees in finance from University of Florida’s Warrington College of Business and a Master of Business Administration degree from Loyola University. He currently serves on the boards of advisors at several innovative companies and mentors future leaders as entrepreneur-in-residence at the University of Florida’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
