Britt Berrett is director of the Center for Healthcare Leadership & Management at the University of Texas at Dallas. Prior to joining UTD, Dr. Berrett served as president of Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, a 900-bed hospital, and executive vice president of the Texas Health Resources network of 24 facilities and over 250 ambulatory centers throughout North Texas. Previously, he was the president/CEO of Medical City and Medical City Children’s Hospital, the flagship medical center for the North Texas Division of HCA. He also served as a CEO as part of the SHARP Healthcare system in San Diego. Dr. Berrett has almost 30 years of both not-for-profit and for-profit executive healthcare experience. His recent book Patients Come Second is a New York Times and Wall Street Journal Best Seller. He is board certified in healthcare management as an ACHE Fellow.
