Trent Fulin
Trent Fulin is an executive leader with more than 12 years of experience in the healthcare profession. He currently serves as senior vice president/CEO of Houston Methodist Cypress Hospital. Prior to this role, Mr. Fulin was part of the leadership team that helped develop and open Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital in June 2017. The acute care facility is strategically located to meet the growing healthcare needs of the Montgomery County community. As vice president/COO at Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital, his responsibilities included overseeing hospital operations and managing departmental leadership to ensure patient satisfaction and high-quality care. He also had executive oversight of numerous service lines, including heart and vascular, endoscopy, orthopedics and sports medicine, neurosciences and cancer services. Mr. Fulin drove operations for the hospital’s $250 million master-planned campus expansion with an on-time opening in January 2022. His vision to implement evidence-based programs with outcome-driven results led Houston Methodist The Woodlands to achieve Comprehensive Stroke Center Certification and DNV Orthopedic Center of Excellence designation within two years of the hospital opening. Under Mr. Fulin’s leadership, the hospital continued to receive nationwide healthcare accolades based on quality and patient safety, including American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program Certification. Mr. Fulin is actively involved in the community, having served on the board of The Woodlands Area Economic Development Partnership and the Executive Leadership Committee of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society–Montgomery County. He is an active participant in many local, not-for-profit organizations and was a 2019 graduate of Leadership Montgomery County. Prior to joining Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital, Mr. Fulin served as associate COO for Clear Lake Regional Medical Center, owned by HCA. He has extensive leadership experience with HCA, including leadership positions at Pearland Medical Center, Bayshore Medical Center and East Houston Regional Medical Center. After completing a Bachelor of Science degree in health policy and administration from Pennsylvania State University, Mr. Fulin earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Texas Tech University. He is an ACHE Member. Mr. Fulin resides in Houston with his wife and two children.
