LaTina (Tina) Schaffer is vice president of talent strategy and chief of diversity, equity and inclusion at Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System. She is an experienced human resources executive best known for creating and transforming organizational people strategy into quantifiable business results. Ms. Schaffer has more than 25 years of professional leadership experience in all functions of HR. She has held leadership positions requiring a can-do, bold attitude, swift execution and accelerated change management. She received the 2021 GBR SHRM HR Executive of the Year Award and the 2022 Louisiana Chapter of ACHE DEI Champion Award. She continues her advocacy and passion for health equity and cultures of inclusion by serving as a featured guest speaker and panelist at local and national events and conferences. Ms. Schaffer holds a Master of Arts degree in adult learning and is a Society of HR Management Senior Certified Professional. She serves as an active member of national SHRM, Greater Baton Rouge SHRM, the American Society for Healthcare Human Resources Administration, and the National Association of Health Services Executives. Ms. Schaffer is also an alumna of Leadership Baton Rouge and Baton Rouge Business Report Executive Leadership Academy. Ms. Schaffer is a proud Louisiana native and is passionate about serving in her local community and advocating for the underserved. Her most valued life accomplishment and true zeal is being a wife and mother. In her spare time, she serves actively in her church and is a fitness instructor.
