Stuart L. Archer, FACHE

President/CEO
Oceans Healthcare

Stuart Archer began his healthcare career at the bedside as a nurse’s aide. From that formative experience, he developed a keen understanding and recognition of the struggles many patients, especially older adults and seniors, endure to manage their illnesses. Since he took the helm at Oceans Healthcare, Mr. Archer has shepherded in a period of unprecedented growth. The company has earned numerous awards, including being named one of the “50 fastest-growing companies in North Texas” by the Dallas Business Journal and one of the Inc. 5000’s “fastest-growing companies in America” for five consecutive years. Mr. Archer is passionate about addressing barriers to behavioral health treatment due to stigma surrounding mental health and lack of access; what healthcare organizations need to do to meet the increasing demand for behavioral health services, especially for an aging population; and how behavioral health organizations can partner with hospitals and other providers to reduce readmissions and embrace the shift to outpatient treatment. Prior to leading Oceans Healthcare, he served as COO of Lifecare Hospitals and senior vice president of market development and operations for LHC Group Inc. Mr. Archer earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Louisiana State University and a Bachelor of Science degree from Northwestern State University. He serves as a board member for the National Association of Behavioral Healthcare.
