Saima Aftab serves as vice president of business development and chief strategy officer for Nicklaus Children’s Health System. In her role, Dr. Aftab oversees the planning and development of programs aligned to the strategic and tactical vision of Nicklaus Children’s Hospital and its network of pediatric outpatient centers. She leads business development initiatives, identifies new growth areas and assesses strategic partnerships and market opportunities. Additionally, she provides leadership to Hospital’s Global Health Initiative. Dr. Aftab has over 15 years of clinical practice and medical leadership experience. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and has held academic appointments at Harvard Medical School, Tufts University School of Medicine and the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine. Dr. Aftab earned a medical degree from King Edward Medical University in Pakistan, an MBA from the University of Miami and is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
