Nehemie Owen, FACHE, SPHR

Nehemie Owen is a healthcare executive with 16 years of experience in acute care operations, best practices implementation and talent management strategies. She has a unique ability to build new programs and systems from the ground up. Ms. Owen led the cultural transformation of an acute care hospital to achieve top decile patient experience scores and top quartile employee engagement scores. She has also led components of the human resources transformation for a healthcare network during its integration with a large healthcare system in North Carolina. Currently, Ms. Owen serves as vice president, human resources, at Emory Healthcare in Georgia. In this role, she provides leadership of the people strategies for three hospitals (Emory Decatur Hospital, Emory Hillandale Hospital and Emory Long-Term Acute Care Hospital) and counsel on various system initiatives. Ms. Owen earned a Master of Health Administration degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. She also earned her Senior Professional in Human Resources certification. She has served in numerous board roles for the Greater Charlotte Healthcare Executives Group, an ACHE chapter, and previously served as a board member for a federally qualified health center in North Carolina. Ms. Owen loves spending time with her husband, Nehemiah, and their two sons, Elijah and Micah. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, cooking, and supporting causes that align with her passion for helping others. She is board certified in healthcare management as an ACHE Fellow.
