Michelle Zettergren

In 2017, Michelle Zettergren joined Brighton Health Plan Solutions, a national healthcare enablement company that provides custom and flexible third-party administration, network solutions, workers’ compensation and technology solutions to self-funded health plan sponsors, multi-employer trusts and unions, Taft-Hartley plans, health systems, carriers and other TPAs. She is proud to be part of a diverse leadership team focused on serving the needs of clients and partners with groundbreaking, technology-led products and solutions that put their needs first. In her role, Ms. Zettergren is responsible for direct contracting partnerships, strategic health system alliances, customer acquisition and retention, national market expansion, marketing and branding, and new and enhanced administrative service offerings. She has a passion for innovation, building collaborative, goal-focused teams, and developing talent and relationships. A 2022 recipient of Crain’s New York Business’ Notables in Health Care designation, Ms. Zettergren has more than 25 years of experience in the health insurance industry, most recently as chief sales officer at HealthPlanOne and senior vice president/chief sales and marketing officer for ConnectiCare, a subsidiary of EmblemHealth. Ms. Zettergren led ConnectiCare’s efforts in the commercial and Medicare segments, with ownership of sales, account management, product, underwriting, group reporting, marketing, communications and public relations. Prior to ConnectiCare, she spent nearly 14 years at Anthem BCBS in various leadership roles in sales and underwriting. She has served on multiple local and national boards, including the American Association of Payers, Administrators and Networks. She also proudly served as the board chair for Special Olympics Connecticut. Ms. Zettergren holds multiple state licenses in accident and health, and she is a certified mediator.
