Michael Eppehimer, FACHE
Mike Eppehimer is an executive, coach, speaker and author focused on impacting leadership, equity and health in our communities. He has integrated more than 20 years of experience as a healthcare executive, consultant, improvisor and facilitator to develop a holistic approach to leadership and organizational change. Mr. Eppehimer founded ThreefoldYes to support leaders to have the greatest impact on those they serve. The ThreefoldYes approach meets leaders where they are—from 1-to-1 executive coaching to leadership development programming to systemwide transformational change. He has served in multiple senior executive roles during the past two decades, most recently at ChristianaCare, a three-hospital, $2.1 billion health system in Wilmington, Del. He was the president of the ChristianaCare Medical Group, a multispecialty physician practice of more than 1,000 employed physicians and advanced practice clinicians across primary care, specialty care and acute care settings. He has also served as the systemwide senior vice president of service line operations and vice president of the Department of Medicine and Acute Medicine service line. Prior to joining ChristianaCare, Mr. Eppehimer served as an associate administrator at The George Washington University Hospital and an associate director at the Advisory Board Company in Washington, D.C. His greatest professional joy comes from helping leaders, teams and organizations achieve their highest potential. He has a reputation for being an insightful and engaging developer of talent who helps individuals and teams activate their collective gifts. He has integrated his background in executive leadership, creative arts and improvement science into a leadership philosophy that resonates with leaders and helps them achieve their personal and professional goals. Mr. Eppehimer has a Master of Healthcare Administration degree from the George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in theater and communication from the University of Maryland College Park. He also has more than 15 years of experience studying, teaching and performing improvisational theatre in Chicago and Washington, D.C. He is a certified Lean Six Sigma black belt from the American Society of Quality. Mr. Eppehimer is board certified in healthcare management as an ACHE Fellow.
