Mark Steiman
Mark Steiman is currently vice president of human resources for CHOC. He leads the employee relations and engagement strategies for the pediatric healthcare system. In addition, he is responsible for strategic workforce planning, human resources operations, talent acquisition, benefits, compensation, employee health and wellness, HR business analytics, learning and development, and enterprise volunteer services. Mr. Steiman has close to 30 years of leadership experience in business operations, human resources and change management. Prior to his current role, he served as COO and chief experience officer for the Newport Orthopedic Institute. He has held HR executive and leadership roles at organizations such as Kinecta Federal Credit Union, Washington Mutual (Chase) Bank and UnitedHealth (formerly PacifiCare Health Systems). His vast expertise includes strategic workforce planning, change management, mergers and acquisitions, leadership and team development, leadership recruitment and retention, employee engagement, executive coaching and organizational design. Mr. Steiman received his bachelor’s degree in business and organizational development from California State University, Long Beach, where he also earned his master’s degree in consumer affairs, health and human services, and regulatory compliance. He serves on business advisory boards and is a member of numerous professional, civic and charitable organizations.
