Lily J. Henson, MD, FACHE, FAAN

Lily Jung Henson is CEO of Piedmont Henry Hospital in Stockbridge, Ga., where she previously served as CMO. Her other leadership roles include chief of neurology at Piedmont Healthcare in Atlanta and vice president of medical affairs for Swedish Ballard Hospital and inaugural chief of staff of Swedish Issaquah Hospital, both in Washington. Dr. Henson practiced neurology for 30 years. She was an associate professor of neurology at the University of Washington Medical School. Dr. Henson attended the Honors Program in Medical Education at Northwestern University, where she obtained her Bachelor of Science and medical degrees. She completed her neurology training at the University of Washington. Dr. Henson received a certificate and a master’s degree in medical management through Tulane University’s School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. She is a 2016 Thomas C. Dolan Executive Diversity Program scholar and a past ACHE Regent-at-Large. Dr. Henson serves on the boards of directors of the American Academy of Neurology, the Piedmont Healthcare Foundation, the Piedmont Healthcare/Encompass Health Joint Venture, Gordon State College Foundation and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. She is also an appointee to the Georgia Board of Health Care Workforce. Dr. Henson is board certified in healthcare management as an ACHE Fellow.
