LaSharndra Barbarin, FACHE
LaSharndra “Sharn” Barbarin joined Medical City Arlington as CEO in June 2022. As CEO, she provides leadership, strategic direction and direct administrative responsibility for all aspects of financial operations, clinical quality and patient experience for the organization. Ms. Barbarin has more than 20 years of healthcare leadership experience. She began her career with HCA Healthcare as an administrative fellow at Medical City Las Colinas and was quickly promoted to COO at Medical City McKinney, where she served for nine years. She was advanced to COO at Medical City Arlington in 2011 before being promoted to CEO at Medical City Lewisville in 2015. Outside of the hospital, Ms. Barbarin has served in community leadership positions with organizations including the DFW Hospital Council Board of Trustees, the board of directors for the Lewisville and Flower Mound Chambers of Commerce, the Medical City Healthcare Diversity and Inclusion Council, the HCA Healthcare Division Diversity and Inclusion Council, and the HCA Healthcare Hope Fund Board. Ms. Barbarin has been honored with multiple accolades, including the Dallas Business Journal’s “Minority Business Leader” recognition, “Outstanding Alumni” award from Tulane University’s School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, “Top 25 Women in Business” recognition from McKinney Living, a “Young Healthcare Executive of the Year” nomination from the DFW Hospital Council, and recognition as a “2022 Women in Business” honoree by the Dallas Business Journal. She is a graduate of Louisiana State University and earned a master’s degree in health administration from Tulane University. Ms. Barbarin is board certified in healthcare management as an ACHE Fellow.
