KC Nate serves as an associate medical group administrator for Kaiser Permanente in the Central Valley area of Northern California. As a member of the area’s senior leadership team, he leads a portfolio of 22 surgical and medical specialties in providing care to more than 400,000 health plan members. Prior to his current role, Mr. Nate earned a master’s degree in healthcare administration from the University of Minnesota and an undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University. He began his journey at Kaiser as an administrative fellow in 2015. After gaining strategy and operations experience in three different geographic areas and across the health plan, medical group and hospital arms of the organization, he transitioned into a director role in Santa Rosa, Calif. Leading several strategic and operational departments there, he honed a passion for leadership and influencing wide-scale performance change that has continued into his current responsibilities. In addition to a lifelong commitment to healthcare, Mr. Nate is actively involved in his community. He has served in numerous positions within local community organizations, most recently joining the board of directors of one of the largest and most competitive soccer clubs in Northern California.
