Edda Weimann, MD
Edda Weimann is a pediatrician, endocrinologist and public health specialist with international work experience. As of early 2023, she serves as director for learning programs at the Geneva Sustainability Centre, powered by the International Hospital Federation. Prior to this, Dr. Weimann was head of departments at hospitals and tertiary care facilities. She served as a professor of child health at the Technical University of Munich and as an honorary associate professor of health information systems at the University in Cape Town. She has broad teaching and research experience and has published books and book chapters analyzing the impact of climate change on child health and the transformation toward carbon neutral healthcare. She has earned research and innovation awards for her work. Her new book on green hospitals, High Performance in Hospital Management, published by Springer Publishing Company, illustrates how to transform health services to become carbon neutral.
