David Olson, FACHE

David Olson joined Froedtert Health in October 2011 as chief strategy officer, leading, directing and executing strategies to support the organization’s growth objectives. In this role, Mr. Olson provides executive leadership for employer services and serves as president of Exceedent Health. Prior to joining Froedtert Health, Mr. Olson served as president of Columbia–St. Mary’s Hospital–Ozaukee and as an executive vice president of the Columbia–St. Mary’s system. His additional experience includes more than a decade serving as president/CEO of Bay Area Medical Center in Marinette, Wis. Mr. Olson received Master of Health Administration and Master of Business Administration degrees from the University of Iowa and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire. He served on the ACHE Board of Governors as governor from 2014 to 2017 and as the ACHE Regent for Wisconsin from 2004 to 2007. In 2001, he was selected as the organization’s Robert S. Hudgens Memorial Award winner for Young Healthcare Executive of the Year, and in 2018, he was named ACHE Chairman. In addition to his service to ACHE, Mr. Olson served on the Wisconsin Hospital Association board from 2003 to 2013, and in 2010 he served as the organization’s chair. Mr. Olson is board certified in healthcare management as an ACHE Fellow.
