Cristian H. Lieneck, PhD, FACHE

Cristian Lieneck is associate professor of healthcare administration for the School of Health Administration at Texas State University. Dr. Lieneck has more than 10 years of practical experience in the field of healthcare administration with a strong focus in medical group practice management (physician practice administration). He also has more than a decade of experience preparing future healthcare leaders in higher education. He began working in the healthcare field while in high school as a licensed emergency medical technician and later was commissioned as a Medical Service Corps officer in the United States Army. He has since held healthcare leadership positions in organizations such as the Community Living Assistance Support Services program for the Texas Medicaid Waiver Program of the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services and the Austin Radiological Association. He also has served as the medical group practice administrator of an Austin-based physiatry and pain medicine physician group practice, consisting of multiple locations and an outpatient procedure suite in central Texas. Dr. Lieneck continues to participate in professional leadership roles at national, state and local levels. He is an ACHE faculty member and teaches the Healthcare Finance module for the Board of Governors Examination in Healthcare Management review course. His research interests include healthcare value (directed toward finance and marketing perspectives), physician practice administration and healthcare administration andragogy. He is board certified in healthcare management as an ACHE Fellow.
