Prior to founding Cadence, Mr. Altchek was the CEO and co-founder of Mic, an impact-driven digital media company. Mic successfully reached a monthly audience of more than 100 million, developed innovative monetization programs and changed government policies through its reporting. Mic was acquired in 2018 by BDG Media. Before co-founding Mic in 2011, Mr. Altchek worked at Goldman Sachs, the White House and for Michael Bloomberg’s 2009 reelection campaign. He was named to Crain’s “40 Under 40” list in 2017, Forbes’ “30 Under 30” list in 2014 and Goldman Sachs’ “100 Most Intriguing Entrepreneurs” list in 2015 and 2016. He currently lives in Los Angeles with his wife and enjoys learning new things, biking, surfing and traveling.
