Brian C. Doheny, FACHE

Healthcare Payer Executive

Brian Doheny is a healthcare payer executive. Mr. Doheny spent 10 years at Humana, Inc., in several roles focused on Medicare Advantage value-based care. His roles included Vice President, Medicare Trend and Innovation, from 2018 to 2023, Associate Vice President, Humana Retail Pharmacy, from 2015 to 2018, and as IT Director, from 2013 to 2014—all in Louisville, Ky. Previously, he served as Corporate Vice President, KentuckyOne Health, Louisville, Ky., from 2011 to 2013; COO, Jewish Hospital, Louisville, Ky., from 2008 to 2011; President and CEO, Jewish Hospital Medical Center South, Hillview, Ky., from 2004 to 2008; and in various physician practice management and hospital leadership roles at Ascension Health and CommonSpirit Health.

Mr. Doheny served on the Board of Governors of the American College of Healthcare Executives from 2019 to 2022. Board certified in healthcare management as an ACHE Fellow, Mr. Doheny served as an ACHE Regent for Kentucky from 2010 to 2013, on the ache.org Editorial Board from 2009 to 2012, as president of the Kentucky ACHE Chapter from 2007 to 2008, on the Kentucky ACHE Chapter Board from 2003 to 2013, and on several ACHE committees.

Mr. Doheny is a recipient of various awards from ACHE, including the Regent’s Award for Early Careerist in 2005 and several ACHE Recognition Program awards, including the Service Award in 2008, the Distinguished Service Award in 2012 and the Exemplary Service Award in 2017. Mr. Doheny earned a Master of Health Administration degree from Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland—College Park
