Amy Gutierrez, PharmD
Amy Gutierrez, PharmD, is the vice president/chief pharmacy officer for UCHealth, overseeing pharmacy practice, strategy and policy across this large Colorado healthcare system. Previously, she had served as the senior vice president/chief pharmacy officer for Kaiser Permanente’s national pharmacy program. She has also served as the chief pharmacy officer for the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services. Dr. Gutierrez obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Southern California School of Pharmacy. She is a California Healthcare Leadership Fellow and the completed the Executive Leadership program at Harvard University’s Business School. She was appointed by California Governor Brown to the State Board of Pharmacy from 2012 to 2018 and served as the board president for three years. She is a clinical associate professor at the University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences and an adjunct assistant professor of clinical pharmacy at the USC School of Pharmacy and Chapman University’s School of Pharmacy. She currently serves on the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists’ Pharmacy Executive Leadership Alliance Advisory Panel. In 2021, she was appointed to the Colorado Prescription Drug Affordability Board by Governor Jared Polis. Dr. Gutierrez obtained her Certified Pharmacy Executive Leader credentials from the American Society of Health System Pharmacists in 2022.
