Tuesday Hot Topic #1 – American Hospital Association Health Policy and Legislative Update

Tuesday, March 24th

About the Session

Take a deep dive into the intricate and shifting world of healthcare policy. Most experts agree that Health Reform isn’t over – it’s just more complicated and touches most every person in the United States to some degree. Questions surround the repeal or replacement of the ACA, the solvency and future of Medicare and Medicaid programs and how Americans will deal with drug issues – both access to high cost therapeutics and misuse of opioids and other prescription medication. The on-going discussions and confrontations that occur between the executive, legislative and judicial branches of the government provide additional murkiness to the nation’s healthcare agenda. Join in this lively presentation and discussion that will be led by Tom Nickels – AHA’s front line to the healthcare policy debate. Participants will develop a strategy that can be used at the local and national level to advocate for quality healthcare for their patients and their communities.
