About the Session

This seminar will detail the current state of civilian healthcare, including issues related to healthcare reform. Attendees will be well versed in most- and least-beneficial techniques relating to key components of an executive job search, including networking, writing an executive resume, identifying “right” opportunities, preparing for and mastering interviews, properly using references and negotiating skillfully. Resources and samples will be provided, as well the opportunity to gain insight from a former military leader. Attendees also will learn of the most recent biannual employment survey results of ACHE members who retired from the military and transitioned into healthcare and other industries.

Learning Objectives:

  • Discover how others have moved from military to civilian healthcare and learn from their experiences.
  • Review professional development techniques needed for transition, such as networking, interviewing skills and resume preparation.
