About the Session

This 2020 presentation of a session offered at Congress since 2014 will include updates and changes based on feedback from student surveys, the presenter’s personal discussions with attendees and current year research. The seminar is focused on providing tools for students who will shortly make the transition from student to executive. This session does not touch on dress, resumes or interviewing skills, which are covered through university career centers. The skills the presenter will discuss are those that research indicates get young executives into trouble. Develop personal lessons by discussing examples of people making the transition from student to executive.

Learning Objectives:

  • Employ tools appropriate for inclusion in a young professional’s toolkit of skills.
  • Develop personal lessons by discussing examples of people making the transition from student to executive.
