About the Session

This session will highlight various options for choosing a clinical engineering services model and vendor versus keeping the majority of services in-house. Faculty will explain the current landscape of multi-vendor service organizations, independent service organizations and original equipment manufacturers compared with available in-house choices. The presenters will stress the overwhelming differences among service models along with the financial and quality advantages and disadvantages of each. You will learn how to evaluate vendors’ capabilities and pricing options. You also will review the multitude of pricing models offered by clinical engineering vendors and examine the pros and cons of different options, including time and materials, full coverage, first look and contracting third parties.
