About the Session

Healthcare leaders work in one of the most dynamic and tumultuous industries in the nation, if not the world. Some health policies of the past are being challenged, and many think our industry is in crisis because of inadequate funding, changing regulations and new players entering our field. Now is the time for new and innovative thinking. This year, Josh Linkner will deliver the Parker B. Francis Distinguished Lecture. Linkner, who started his career as a jazz guitarist, personifies creativity, entrepreneurship and disruptive innovation. He has been the founder and CEO of four tech companies, which sold for a combined value of over $200 million, and he is the author of four books, including two New York Times best-sellers. Linkner has been twice named the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year® and during the Obama administration, he was named as a White House “Champion of Change.” During his lecture, Linkner will ask you to challenge old assumptions, stretch your definition of creative leadership and embrace managerial innovation in ways that will help your organization make substantial, positive and sustainable changes.
